Smitty's is Canada's largest family restaurant chain with more than 115 restaurants. Previous restaurant experience isn't necessary to become part of our family. Smitty's menu offers something for each member of the family, and is frequently updated to keep customers coming back. Our award-winning menu will introduce you to our diverse product line, steaks, sandwich, and omelettes to salads, waffles, from Smitty's famous buttermilk pancakes, and pastas. Smitty's had been an instant hit! For more than 40 years after, Smitty's continued to build on the success of the first day because of the strength of a sound concept and the ability to adapt to market trends. On the opening day, customers lined up and waited for more than two hours to get in through the door. In 1960, the first Smitty's restaurant opened in Calgary, Alberta. Their enthusiasm has been vital to our growth and a vital part of our success. Our Franchisees have been directly involved in and dedicated to the execution of our ongoing strategy. Smitty's has always met our customers' needs - from the first patrons in the 60's, 80's, to their children and grandchildren throughout the 70's, and 90's and into this new millennium. Almost all of our operations are fully licensed and a majority of them have separate lounges to accommodate a different group of customers. The Smitty's concept is particularly popular among families with small children, seniors, and travellers. It is the only truly national one, operating from coast to coast. We'll provide you with indepth training and supervision, both before and after the opening of your restaurant.
